Jerry Jewell

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 21, at Terpening Son Chapel for Jerry Jewell, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Jewell, 49, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. Ron Miner from Post, Texas will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Jewell was born October 1, 1955 in Douglas, Arizona; the son of Jack Jewell and Donna Negley Jewell. On Dec. 1, 1973 he was married to Lynne LeCompte in San Jose, Calif. He came to Artesia in 1979 from California. He was a Lease Operator for Merit Energy. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Survivors include his wife Lynne Jewell of the family home; mother Donna Pendergrass of Ruidoso, N.M.; step-father Pat Pendergrass and Mary Lou of Las Cruces, N.M.; sons Chris Jewell and wife Myndi of Lubbock, Texas, Jason Jewell of Artesia, and Randall Jewell of Artesia; brothers Gary Jewell of Bluewater Lake, N.M., and Jim Jewell of Roswell, N.M.; sisters Jayne Heppler of Farmington, N.M., and Patci Lewis of Midland, Texas; grandchildren Katelyn Jewell of Lubbock, and Nicole Jewell of Lubbock.
