Jennie Ryan

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, November 26, at West Main Baptist Church for Jennie Beth Ryan of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Ryan, 82, died November 19, 2018 in Midland, TX.

Pastor Jason Kraft will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Combs, Jeremy Ryan, B.C. Martin, Kenton Puckett, Octavian Jackson and Gary Romine.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Sunday from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Jennie was born February 7, 1936 in New Orleans, LA to Joe Broome and Bessie (Grantham) Broome. On January 18, 1955 she married Joe H. Ryan in Jal, NM. They came to Artesia in 1972 from Odessa, NM. Mr. Ryan preceded her in death on April 21, 1999.

Jennie was a Hostess at Pecos Diamond restaurant and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She also attended West Main Baptist Church. She was a Secretary and Treasurer for several bowling leagues and an avid collector of many things, primarily frogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, daughter Cheryl Ryan, great-grandson Bryce Martin and son-in-law Joe Bob White.

Survivors include her son Joe Ryan and wife Shirlene of Big Spring, TX; daughter Karen White of Midland, TX; special friends Belinda and Owen Puckett; sister Barbara McBee of Corpus Christi, TX; 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
