Jane Howard

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at West Main Baptist Church for Jane Howard of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Howard, 80, died February 15, 2019 at Lubbock, TX.

Pastor Jason Kraft and Ty Houghtaling will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Nathan Howard, Tim Howard, Alex Frederick, Austin Howard, David Frederick, Israel Mariscal and Cody Howard

Jane was born January 30, 1939 in Artesia NM to George Lewis and Ruth Hock Lewis. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

On June 23, 1955 she was married to Harvey D. Howard in Artesia. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2010.

She was a housewife and member of West Main Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She volunteered for C.A.S.A and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting, and loved to go on hunting and fishing trips.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sons Lee Roy Howard and wife Kathy of Artesia, Dean Howard of Artesia, Michael Howard and wife Carla of Artesia, and Patrick Howard and wife Julie of Las Cruces, N.M.; a brother James Lewis of Artesia; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and by her beloved dog Tinker.
