Jacqueline Forister

December 11, 1931 — December 3, 2021

Jacqueline “Jackie” Zeona Forister, 89, died December 3, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. Jackie was born on December 11, 1931, to David Woodson Moncrief Allen and Emma Eulalia Shattles Allen in Sweetwater, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Frank Jackson, and husband Clarence. Jackie was a member of the Church of Christ in Hope, New Mexico, where she and Clarence lived for almost 26 years. Jackie was homeroom mother to all four of her children and attended all the events any of them were in no matter where they took place. Jackie was also an avid volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Helpers Club and a generous blood donor for many, many years. One of her passions was bowling. When she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis instead of letting the disease get her down, she took up bowling and did extremely well in the sport. She was inducted into the New Mexico Bowlers Hall of Fame and was very proud of that honor. Jackie is survived by her children: Son, Chuck Tidwell; daughter, Lisa Liberatore; son, Vann Tidwell and wife Nelva; son, Mark Tidwell; and “adopted” daughters, Patti Barber and Kathy Stamps. Granddaughters, Jacqueline Faletti and husband Rick; Danielle Keller and husband Austin, and Destri Shaw and husband Aaron. Great-grandchildren, Tyler Herculson, Charli Grace Faletti, Bo Frank Shaw and John Joseph Faletti. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hermosa Church of Christ. A private burial will be held at Woodbine Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Lone Star Cremation in Mansfield, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals On Wheels or the Cancer Society.
