A memorial gathering will be held for Isaiah Deramy Mendoza from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Terpening & Son Chapel.

Isaiah, 35, passed away on February 14, 2026 in Roswell, New Mexico. He was born on August 3, 1990, to Hector and Mary (Acosta) Mendoza in Artesia.

A joyful and goofy spirit, Isaiah had a knack for lighting up every conversation with his humor and infectious laughter. He embraced life with a warm and happy heart, always seeking to make others smile. As a proud family man, he cherished every moment spent with his wife, Katie, and their children. He was an unwavering pillar of strength and love for his family, dedicating himself not just to their care but also to creating lasting memories filled with joy.

Isaiah’s strong will and hardworking nature found their expression in his career in construction, where he worked alongside his brother for a decade. A skilled handyman, he took great pride in his work and excelled at everything he touched, always showcasing his passion in every project.

In his free time, Isaiah enjoyed camping, painting, and staying active, often seen spending quality time with his brothers and cousins. His zest for life and spirited personality left a lasting impression, making him beloved by everyone who crossed his path.

Isaiah is preceded by his parents Hector and Mary Mendoza; his grandparents; and his father in law, Alan Pigeon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katie Mendoza; daughter Sophia (2 years old); sons, Mylo (1 year old) and Benjamin (4 months old); brothers, Dominic Mendoza, Eric Mendoza and wife Jessica Rae, Adam Mendoza and wife Jessica Lynn, and Abraham Mendoza and wife Ruby.
