Georgia Ann Whittington

January 13, 1945 — January 19, 2026

At approximately 3:30pm MST on January 19th, my beautiful Mother Georgia Ann Whittington slipped the surly bonds and chains of this world to join the saints at the majestic throne of God.

With her devoted caregiver and second cousin Deandra Bell faithfully by her side, she passed away peacefully as she quietly crossed into eternal glory.

Born in Artesia General Hospital on January 13th, 1945 to George W. Bradford and Maggie Clemmons, she was raised by her loving Grandmother and Grandfather Bryan and Sally Bradford at 8th and Washington St. in Artesia, NM, a small 3 room home filled with the love of God and His amazing grace. In her later years she lived in that same home until her final day.

She is survived by her youngest brother George W Bradford Jr. and his beloved wife Glenda of Odessa TX.

She is also survived by her 3 sons and their families.

Her first born son John (JD) Donaghe and his 3 children John David Donaghe II and his daughter Ava Leigh, Jamie Lee Donaghe and her son Jackson Ray Young, and Jennifer Ann Deville, her husband Devin Deville and their 2 children Brooklynn and Jordan Deville. All of whom live in TX.

Her second born son Jody Donaghe and his beloved wife Tavia live in Artesia and operate a local business serving the community.

Her youngest son Thomas Dale Donaghe and his beloved wife Jana Donaghe of Gillette Wyoming and their 5 children Tommy Donaghe and his wife Rachael and their 2 sons Caleb and Jaikin of Soldotna Alaska, Matthew and Ashley Donaghe of Gillette Wyoming and their 2 children Mattie and Hudson Donaghe, Jessica Donaghe Wilde and her husband Jeremy Wilde of Green River Wyoming, Brandon and Taylor Donaghe of Fort Collins Colorado and Sarah Donaghe Roesler and her husband James Roesler of Wausau Wisconsin.

With 3 children, 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren, she leaves behind a legacy that she loved with all of her heart, and prayed for daily.

In her younger years she was raised in the 8th and Grand Church of Christ where she attended with her Grandmother, and in her later years she was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist church under the Pastorship of Rick Smith.

As a devout Christian and always about the Lord's work, she devoted her life to caring for the sick and elderly, mentoring to the local neighborhood children and young relatives, and was faithful in ministering to the seniors at the Artesia Nursing home in any way that she could. If you met her in the grocery store or shopping center and told her of a problem or illness, she would be the first to ask if she could pray with you in Jesus name, and if you shared with her any measure of good news, she would most often respond with a jubilant "Hallelujah" or "Praise the Lord". She was truly loved and adored by all who knew her.

Memorial services are open to the public and will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church at 711 Washington St. Artesia NM on Friday, January 30th at 11:00am. The services will be officiated by her long time Pastor Rick Smith.

She will be laid to rest at Twin Oaks Cemetery beside her beloved Grandmother and Grandfather.

The family would like to express their appreciation for all of the kind thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, and a special thanks to the entire staff at Enhabit Hospice Services.

Go rest high among the angels and your loved ones my dear Mother, your days in glory are due, just know that you will be sorely missed, forever loved... and never forgotten.
