They have a lake home at Sumner Lake and would go there nearly every weekend to fish or just relax. They loved taking the Grandkids to the lake to fish or drag behind the boat. George and Grandson Charles fished a lot together.

He also liked to play poker and had a Monday night game for nearly 20 years in his man cave where they would cook first usually Elk or Deer meat, then play cards till 9:00. Then he sent everyone home because work started at 5:30 the next morning.

George loved to hunt arrowheads and had quite a collection of them. Sister Sharon and George used to go on weekly excursions to explore the country side and he was with her when she found her first arrowhead.
