Geneva Parkinson

Services are scheduled at 3:OO P.M. Friday, May 23, at Green Valley Mortuary Chapel, Green Valley, Arizona, for Geneva V. Parkinson, of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Parkinson, 81, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Randall Marrs will officiate at the services with burial at Green Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Amanda Crook, Rusty Crook, Zachary Marrs, Tommy Sparrow, Jodi Colwell, and Randall Marrs. Mrs. Parkinson was born December 7,1921 in Pleasant Hill, Oklahoma; the daughter of Jesse James Coleman and Elva Ray Wilson Coleman. On April 6,1945 she was married to Warren Russell Parkinson in Cedar City Utah. She came to Artesia in 1999 from Arizona. He preceded her in death Nov. 25, 1992. She was a housewife and member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Georgia Sehon and Mentha Lee Scott, brother Manford Coleman and a grandson Shady Marrs. Survivors include daughter Wyletta Marrs and husband Randall of Artesia; sister Wanda Bently and husband Jack of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandchildren Amanda Crook and husband Rusty of Artesia, and Zachary Marrs of Artesia.
