Services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, January 28, at New Hope Baptist Church for Gayle L. Singleton of Artesia.

Mrs. Singleton, 87, died on January 23, 2022 at her home in Artesia.

Jason Perry will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.R. Null, Geraldo Barragan, Ronnie Null, Justin Cartwright, Jake Trejo, and E. J. Carnero. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 to 6 pm on Thursday.

Gayle was born on January 8, 1935; the daughter of Norbin Webb and Louise Michael Webb. She was married to Dave Singleton on March 18, 1954 in Whiteface, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2006.

She was a secretary in the oil and gas industry. She loved baseball, watching her grandchildren's activities, the Dallas Cowboys, doing yard work, fishing, camping and baking her world famous chocolate chip cookies.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sons Skip Singleton and Tim Singleton; a daughter Krystal Cartwright and husband Justin; grandchildren Jake, Keryssa, E.J., Tieler, and Mandy; great-grandchildren Ethan, Patrick and Chase.Services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, January 28, at New Hope Baptist Church for Gayle L.
