Francisca Josephine Cox

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 pm Wednesday, April 8 at First Christian Church for Francisca J. Cox of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Cox, 79, died on April 1, 2026 in Artesia.

Michael Eliot will officiate at the services. Burial will take place at Lake Arthur Cemetery, Lake Arthur, New Mexico.

Francisca was born on September 30, 1946 in Artesia; the daughter of Frank Anaya and Guadalupe Sandoval Anaya.

She was a long time resident of Artesia where she was married to Blas T Salgado and had 3 children .She was widowed and remarried later to Carl Cox and lived in Las Vegas Nevada many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and First husband and siblings Emma,Daniel,and Celia.

Survivors include her children Macario Salgado, and Robert Salgado and Eva Elaine Garza.
