Obituary

A viewing will be held for Eufemia Garcia Ramirez on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with a rosary to follow at 9:30am. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery.

Officiating will be Father Vijaya.

Eufemia, 89 was born on December 10 1937 to Guadalupe Garcia, and Maria Jesus Marquez in Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family on August 30, 2026 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

She grew up surrounded by family, faith, and love, and at the young age of 17, she married Salvador Ramirez, and together they built a family filled with love and devotion. They were blessed with eight children.

Eufemia had 29 beloved grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and Ben Saiz companion to her for the past 30 years. 

She was a devoted housewife, cleaning homes, and devoted her last years at Headstart and Aladdin Castle in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She was a grandma, mentor, and loving mom to the children. Eufemia is preceded by Guadalupe, and Maria Jesus Garcia, and three siblings. Those left to cherish her memories are seven siblings, and various nieces, and nephews.
