Ernesto O. Nájera, 65, of Artesia, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at his home on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 3, 1960, in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Cayetano and Emma Nájera.
Ernesto was a man of strong values, unwavering dedication, and a generous heart. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured every moment spent with family and friends. He had a passion for cooking and was happiest when preparing meals for those he loved, bringing everyone together around the table with laughter, stories, and unforgettable memories. His home was a place of warmth, hospitality, and love.
Ernesto enjoyed visiting casinos and loved the excitement of winning. It was one of his favorite pastimes and something that always brought him joy and entertainment.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Ernesto took great pride in his career as a loader operator. He loved his work and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to providing for his family.
Above all, Ernesto’s greatest accomplishment was the family he built and the love he shared throughout his life.
Ernesto was preceded in death by his father, Cayetano Nájera, and his father-in-law, Rito Granados.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Rosario Nájera; his mother, Emma Nájera; his children, Karla Fernandez and her husband, Antonio Fernandez, and Ernesto Nájera and his wife, Susana Barrera; his cherished grandchildren, Tony, Ashley, Karyme, Ever, and Ale; and his siblings, Marcela, Belibaldo, Paz, Genaro, Mónica, Maricruz, Ramiro, and Kika, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Ernesto will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his loving heart, hardworking spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will remain forever in our hearts.

Ernesto O. Nájera, de 65 años, de Artesia, Nuevo México, falleció en paz en su hogar el 15 de junio de 2026, rodeado del amor de su familia. Nació el 3 de julio de 1960 en Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Cayetano y Emma Nájera.
Ernesto fue un hombre de sólidos valores, gran dedicación y un corazón generoso. Encontraba alegría en las cosas sencillas de la vida y atesoraba cada momento compartido con su familia y amigos. Le apasionaba cocinar y era más feliz cuando preparaba comidas para sus seres queridos, reuniendo a todos alrededor de la mesa con risas, historias y recuerdos inolvidables. Su hogar siempre estuvo lleno de calidez, hospitalidad y amor.
A Ernesto le gustaba visitar los casinos y disfrutaba de la emoción de ganar. Era uno de sus pasatiempos favoritos y una actividad que siempre le brindaba alegría y entretenimiento.
