Enemenzio Ybarra

November 1, 1949 — August 17, 2023

Enemenzio "Danny" Anaya Ybarra Jr. gained his wings on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia, New Mexico. Vigil and Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 24, with Vigil beginning at 4:00, Rosary at 6:00pm. Danny served in the Armed Forces from 1968 to 1974 and was stationed in Fort Bliss where he was an MP. He then served in the Army National Guard until 1979 when he was honorably discharged. He was a mechanic, but a jack of all trades. He learned and excelled quickly at whatever was put in front of him. He loved every job he ever worked but spoke most often of his time at Dudley Sales & Services where the Dudley's became family and stayed family to his last day.

He was a great father and an even greater grandpa and great-grandpa. His love for music was fierce and he played guitar in a few bands during his life. He made sure to have a guitar wherever he went. He taught his daughter to play with passion and love. He enjoyed camping and hunting with brothers, his son, and grandsons. He instilled work ethic, loyalty, and family to his son and all his boys. To the baby of the family, he showed unconditional love and taught her to set her expectations high knowing if she did so she would never be disappointed. He could make anyone feel comfortable, smile, and was always a jokester. He would help anyone who asked and even those who never asked. After beating lung and mouth cancer, he changed his life and spent even more time with his family. He was able to rebuild relationships and was loved by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by daughter Tammy Ybarra of Artesia and granddaughter Jordan Jay Wheeler of Westminster, Co; Son Brian Ybarra of Artesia; grandsons Chris Martinez, wife Heather of Houston, Tx; Brian Ybarra Jr, fiance Monique, Ryan Ybarra, and granddaughter Mariah Ybarra, fiance Jacob Ortiz, all of Artesia; Daughter Jennifer and husband Joe Keith Smith of Artesia, granddaughters Ashley, husband Kenneth Lopez, and Chelsea Ybarra, fiance Xavier Chacon, both of Carlsbad, NM; Talynn, husband Brad Stubbs, Brilee Ann Ybarra, Joli, husband Tanner Harris, and grandson Joshua Gonzales, wife Jessica, all of Artesia.

His brothers David, Dennis, and Ricky Ybarra all of Artesia; and Chris Anaya of Pecos, Texas. His sisters, Delma Garcia and Dora Ybarra of Roswell, NM; Delia Mendez of Hobbs, NM; Della Ybarra of Stillwater, Texas; Janie Salmon and Diane Ybarra both of Artesia; 11 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Enemenzio and Antonia Ybarra; and a brother Donald Ybarra.
