Douglas Vanderpool

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Terpening Son Chapel for Douglas Vanderpool, 125 E. Jackson Road, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Vanderpool, 64, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at his home in Artesia, New Mexico. Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with cremation under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Vanderpool was born June 15, 1942 in McAllen, Texas; the son of Tony Howard Vanderpool and Edna Norwood Vanderpool. He came to Artesia in 1958 and was a longtime resident of the Artesia area. He was a member of the Pentecostal Denomination; he loved being around his family and traveling. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three sisters, Pauline Clifton of Artesia, Jo Ann Nixon of McAllen, Texas, and Margaret Thomas of McAllen, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
