Donald Moore, 85, died on October 4, 2026. He was born on July 22, 1941 in Hobart, OK to be close to his family. He was born to Francis (Andy) and Thelma Moore. He is survived by his son Donald Moore, Jr; son James Moore; daughter Nicki Collins; granddaughter Kathryn Moore; Granddaughter Larissa Collins; grandson Suheng Duan; brother Ronald Moore and Dan Moore. Don married Bobbie Swinson in 1963 and were together until her death in 2010. Donald served in the United States Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran. He served in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves for 17 years and achieved the rank of Major.

Don was a member of the Hermosa Church of Christ, Artesia Jaycees, Lions Club, and the Artesia Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed travel all around the world including Antarctica, New Zealand, SE Asia, Brazil, Monte Carlo, Italy, Ethiopia, Romania, the Ukraine, Russia, and the United Kingdom. He was involved with the mission committee at Church where he met with and supported the missionaries from many fields around the world. The mission in Ethiopia was a favorite of his. The mission funded drilling water wells for remote communities. In high school he was on the football, tennis and badminton teams.
