Deanna Simons

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6 at West Main Baptist Church for Deanna June Simons of Artesia, New Mexico.

Ms. Simons, 66, passed away on December 3, 2017 at her home.

Jason Kraft will officiate at the service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Deanna was born on October 9, 1951 in Bakersfield, California; the daughter of J.D. Eaton and Ellen (Goldstein) Eaton. She came to Artesia in 2014 from Fayetteville, N.C.

She served in the United States Army and did tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Desert Storm and Bosnia. She was a Nurse and a member of West Main Baptist Church. Deanna enjoyed painting, art and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Survivors include her sons Christopher Luke Simons and Donald Mark Simons; daughters April Leann Simons and Alice Antoinette Simons; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
