Clovis Samora

June 13, 1936 — April 2, 2022

Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday, April 7, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Clovis A. Samora of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Samora, 85, died on April 2, 2022 in Artesia.

Burial will follow the services at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. A rosary is also scheduled for 9:30 am on Thursday. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 to 6 pm on Wednesday. Pallbearerrs will be Kenny Samora, Caleb Samora, Eric Aranda, Anthony Samora, Diego Samora, Alonzo Samora, Alfred Samora, Justin Samora, Jason Lopez, and Jaime Aranda. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Leyva, Sergio Samora, Daniel Samora, Jubal Samora, Deqwan Samora and Mark Solis.

Clovis was married to Beatrice Alvarado on March 12, 1960 in California. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, barbecuing, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Ronnie Samora and Alfred "Fredo" Samora, brothers Alfred Jr. Samora, and Johnnie Samora, a sister Chavelita Cadena, a granddaughter Angel Samora and a grandson Jacob Carbajal.

Survivors include his wife Beatrice Samora; sons Donny Samora, Dean Samora and wife Sonia, John Samora and wife Audure, Randy Samora, and Kenny Samora and wife Nikki; a daughter Gracie Aranda and husband Jaime; a sister-in-law Gloria Samora; and also by 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
