Christian Andres Torrez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Christian Andres Torrez, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. Christian died in the arms of his parents, surrounded by love on April 19, 2025 in El Paso, Texas.

Christian was born on April 10, 2009 in Roswell, New Mexico; the son of Andres Roberto Torrez and Alyssa Lee Rivas Torrez. He was a sophomore at Artesia High School. Anyone who knew him would say Christian was very quick witted, loved gaming, reading and watching anime, playing chess, board and card games. He was a good friend, had the best knowledge of random facts, an avid tinker- who was constantly building something, and one of their favorite people to be around. He loved going on trips, visiting all his grandparents, and teaching his little sister, Lucia, and their favorite cousins, Lucas and Liam.

A funeral mass will be held for Christian at Our Lady of Grace on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 10 a.m. with graveside services to follow.

Survivors include his parents Andres and Alyssa Torrez; his sister Lucia Rose Torrez; paternal grandparents Robert and Valerie Torrez; maternal grandparents Gustavo R. and Lydia Rivas and Lee Lazdowski; great-grandparents Gustavo L. and Rosa Rivas; tìa and aunts Amanda, Tanya, Karen, and Scarlett; tìo and uncles, Daniel, Johnnathon, Isaac, Zach, and Kevin; as well as numerous cousins.
