Charles Phillips

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Woodbine Cemetery for Charles Phillips III of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Phillips, 51, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at his home.

Rev. J. B. Craft will officiate at the services.

Mr. Phillips was born January 12, 1959 in Tyler, Texas the son of Charles Franklin Phillips, Jr. and Geneva Anderson Phillips.

He served in the United States Navy.

He was a longtime Artesia resident before moving to Dallas, Texas and then returning to Artesia in 2004.

Chuck was a member of Hermosa Drive Baptist Church and loved to play Bingo.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister Regina Williamson.

Survivors include his mother Geneva Phillips of Roswell, N.M. brothers Paul Phillips and Tracey Hamilton of Artesia, and Reggie Phillips and Jodie Amador of Artesia.
