Carolyn Lee

Graveside services for Carolyn Sue Lee are scheduled for 11 am Saturday, July 7th, in San Jon, New Mexico and will be officiated by her great nephew Cory Burns.

Lee, 86 passed away in Temecula California on June 27, 2018 at the Red Hawk Senior Care Facility. She was born on September 28, 1931 in Pecos, Texas; the daughter of W. A. and Andy Elizabeth Sudduth. She married Lloyd Ed Lee on August 28, 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2012.

She worked 20 years for Artesia Public Schools, was a homemaker and loving mother to 6 children, Anita Lee (Richard Sexton), Terry Lee (Julee), Rick Lee, Dana Slocum (Mike), Alisa Lingos (Michael), Jim Ed Lee (Flo). Ten grandchildren, Christine Kim (Brian), Christopher Lee (Vi), Angelo, Eli and Dimitri Lingos, Cody, Joel and Jordan Slocum, Matt Bucher (Christina) and Jake Sexton and 5 great grandchildren, Kylie, Brady and Hailey Kim, Kiera and Robbie Bucher.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Artesia and her Christian faith and commitment to the Lord were reflected in every aspect of her life. She always had a smile on her face and willing to lend a helping hand. Her favorite pastimes included baking her famous hot rolls, sewing, gardening, spending time with her friends and out fishing Ed.

A special thanks to her caregivers at Red Hawk Senior Care Facility Staff for making her stay comfortable and dignified.
