Caroline  Naylor

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday, April 25, at Woodbine Cemetery for Caroline Ann Naylor of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Naylor, 76, died on April 20, 2023 at her home in Artesia.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Zednick, Bobby Snowden, Larry Ivy, Landon Ivy, Lance Ivy, Kyle Snowden, and Daniel Watkins. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 4 to 6 pm on Monday.

Caroline was born on May 22, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma; the daughter of Nelson Thomas Pope and Windola Mae Stacy Pope.

On August 31, 1962 she was married to James Naylor in Artesia.

She was a longtime Artesia resident. She was huge Elvis fan and collector, Bulldogs fan and especially so watching her granddaughter play sports, Cowboys fan and Oklahoma Sooners fan. She enjoyed doing craft projects in ceramics, needlepoint, quilting and sewing. Carol loved growing roses, going to Las Vegas and attending shows, and also dancing when she was younger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Tommy Pope.

Survivors include her husband Jimmy Naylor; a son Jimmy D. Naylor and wife Jacque; a sister Linda K. Murphy; a granddaughter Breanne Naylor; a sister-in-law Sharon Snowden; and also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Artesia Paws and Claws, St. Judes Children's Hospital, or charity of choice.
