Bonnie Herron

July 20, 1942 — February 24, 2021

Bonnie passed away at the home of her daughter Peggy Harrison. With Peggy, Connie, and son-in-law Duke by her side.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, March 1st, 2:00pm at Twin Oaks Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Lane Herron, Justin Harrison, James Gillum, Orion Bustamante, Travis Herron, and Jimmy Matthews.

Bonnie was born in Flushing, Ohio to James Van Curen and Marjorie (Triplett) Van Curen. She had 7 siblings: Rosie, James, John, Cliff, Sharon, Elizabeth, and Rusty.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mother, sister Rosie Atkins, brothers James, John, and Rusty.

She lived in Flushing Ohio until the Age of 7, then moved to Artesia.

She later met and married Jack Herron. They had five children: Jackie, Connie, Peggy, Danny, and Donna. Donna preceded her in death.

She married Ray Johns. They were married 19 years. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by 4 of her children: Jackie Herron and wife Sylvia of Artesia, Connie Harrison and husband Mike of Pinon, Peggy Harrison and husband Duke of Artesia, Danny Herron and wife Amy of Artesia.

She had 9 grandkids who she adored! They called her "Granny". Jana Herron, Justin Harrison, Shana Olivas, Amanda, and Susan Solt, Liz Campbell, Melanie and Travis Herron and James Gillum.

She had 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Bonnie was a hard worker! Loved by all her co-workers from The Artesia Good Samaritan and Allsup's too. She never met a stranger! She had a huge heart and would give you the shirt off her back! She will be missed by all!!
