Biridiana Porras

A rosary is scheduled at 5 pm Sunday, November 19, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Biridiana Porras of Artesia, New Mexico.

Ms. Porras, 31, died on November 14, 2023 in Artesia.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Biridiana was born on November 26, 1991 in Artesia; the daughter of Socorro Porras and Maria Talamantes Porras.

Biridiana "Biri" will be dearly remembered for her outgoing and fun personality. She loved an intimate evening with friends and enjoyed traveling to the nearby mountains for weekend getaways. Biri was a proud supporter of the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed rooting for them at any given chance. Her lazy days consisted of watching true crime shows while cuddling her beloved dog, Sparkles. She was a friend to everyone, putting others before herself, and always wanting the best for them. Biri lit up the room every time she walked in. Her personality was infectious, she had a good sense of humor and enjoyed having good conversations. 

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant she was very loved by her patients and her peers. Biri's work was one of her greatest and proudest accomplishments. Her patients included young children and the elderly. One of her many joys was working with children as a substitute teacher for four years. A legacy of her very caring nature will forever live in our hearts. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Adolfo Talamantes, Manuel Porras and Macaria Porras.

Survivors include her parents Socorro and Maria Porras; sisters Brenda Porras and Viadimir Porras; and maternal grandmother Ofelia Talamantes.
