pPastor Bobby Argo and Alex Hernandez will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe C. Franco, Victor D. Contreras, Steve Chavarria, Michael Contreras, Eric Tesillo, Leandra Delgado, Nick Rodriguez,III, Susie Armendariz and Tiffany Sherwood.p

pBeatriz was born June 18, 1922 in Presidio, Texas the daughter of Gregorio Gomez and Leandra Gonzales Gomez. She was married to Avelino Contreras and they came to Artesia in 1957 from Pecos, Texas.p
pBeatriz was a homemaker and a member of Ancla dela Fe. Her and Avelino were grandparents at Headstart, and she was very active at her church.p
pShe was preceded in death by her parents a sister and 2 brothers daughters Herminia, Alicia Carrera, and son Herminio.p
pSurvivors include her husband Avelino Contreras of the family home daughters Ann C. Franco of Cottonwood, N.M., Judy Chavarria, Rachel Tesillo, Minnie Rodriguez, and Sally Delgado all of Artesia sons Sammy Contreras of Ontario, California, Victor Contreras of Artesia, and Israel Contreras of Artesia sister Tomasa Ramirez of Orange, California and a grandson who was raised as a son Ervey Cano.p
