Barbara Ann Bratcher

Barbara Ann Bratcher, 89 of Midland, Texas passed away on November 27, 2023.

Barbara was born in Throckmorton, Texas on September 3, 1934 to Flavious and Ruby Porch.  

Barbara was raised in and lived most of her life inArtesia, NM. Some of her fondest memories were of the family gatherings at her
mom’s home, sharing fun times with her best friends, and her time at Faith Baptist Church, where she met and made many special friends.

Barbara loved her Lord and tried to live a life that honored her Savior. She was a friend to all and never saw a stranger. Her heart
was touched by the needs of others and she always tried to be kind to everyone. She loved to have her family and friends stop by for coffee or just a visit. Barbara loved her family dearly and the company of her wonderful friends.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Bratcher who walked this journey with her for 60 years. They had one son, Duce Bratcher who had passed on, but with whom she is now joyfully reunited.  Barbara is also survived by her two daughters Pam Allen of Midland, Texas and Kendra Hughes and husband Scott of Norwalk, Iowa (and their family) her son Jeff
Cantrell and wife Jackie (and their family) of Artesia NM,  two grandsons Dusty Allen and wife Shana, Cody Allen and wife Erin of Midland, Texas, her granddaughters Lexi Gibson and husband Curtis and Ashton Allen both of Midland, Texas. She is
also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren in Missouri and Iowa, and Lubbock.

Barbara is also survived by her precious nieces, Carolyn Kittle, Beverly Norris, Sherry Henderson, Paulette Casabonne, Vickie Lucky,
Belinda Bertch, and Gayla Talley, her nephew, Andy Talley, numerous great nieces and nephews in Louisiana, sister-in-laws, Rose Crenshaw and Fran Bratcher of Artesia, NM

Barbara’s ‘Home Going Celebration’ will be held on December7, 2023 @ 2:00 pm at the Artesia Funeral Home Chapel in Artesia, NM.  With Pastor Mike Elliott officiating.
