While this is an unexpected loss for the family, even in his death he brings comfort. He had a beautiful way of looking at life & death as one big beautiful collision course. He did not welcome death, nor did he fear it. He had a strong character that you couldn't help but love him. He was a beloved dad and Papa to not only his family but to everyone he took into his big heart. He was many things; a brother, an uncle, a pool or fishing buddy, and a keeper of knowledge and wisdom. His family called these "Papa-isms." He had a way of simplifying the hardest days or decisions of your life. If you've had the chance to meet him, you know he was someone you could never forget. To say he left an impression is an understatement.
He served in the United States Army from 1964-1967 where he was honorably discharged. "Red" was a loyal employee at Marbob Energy for 20 plus years.
Arthur David "Red" Harris was received in death by his first wife Ellen Ann Watson and his second wife Pam Stalnaker Evans. He is was also preceded in death by his parents Arthur an Oleta along with his sisters Anita and Rosie.
Those left to cherish Arthur's memories are his daughter Lisa, her husband Doug, along with his granddaughters Dessi and Tristan, and five great grandchildren; daughter Laura, her husband Bart along with his grandsons John David "J.D." and Mason; his sister Linda and brother-in-law Joe; as well as his many beloved extended family and step family.
