Angelia Anderson Bowen

January 22, 1944 – August 13, 2026

Angelia “Angi” Anderson Bowen, born in Artesia on the family farm many years ago will be coming home to Artesia to rest for eternity. She will be laid to rest overlooking the family farm at the Woodbine Cemetery alongside her husband and love of her life Richard “Dick” Bowen of more than 50 years.

Angi is preceded in death by her loving parents Roger Gaylord Anderson and Lillian Lee Anderson and her sisters and brothers LaVerne Thompson, BillieJane Anderson, Glen Anderson, and Alan Anderson. She is preceded in death by her lifelong friend and sister-in law Peggy Anderson.

Angi is survived by her beloved brothers and sister-in-laws, Ross and Norma Anderson and Gary and Deborah Anderson, and by her wonderful brother-in-law Marvin Thompson.

Angi is also survived by her loving children Kathy, Richard and Andy. As well, she was blessed by grandchildren Nicholas, Hillary, Jessica and Elizabeth. Her legacy also includes her great grandchildren, Joshua, Ryleigh, Katlin and Luna and great great grandchild Amora.

She will be remembered by friends and generations of Anderson relatives in the southern New Mexico and West Texas area for her joyful presence and her thoughtful and kind disposition.

Family and friends may join us at the Terpening and Son Mortuary's Chapel on September 3 from 2-6 PM.

Funeral services will be graveside at the Woodbine Cemetery on September 4 at 10 AM.
