Andrea Nayares

A mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Andrea P. Nayares of Artesia, N.M.

Mrs. Nayares 60, died on Sunday February 25, 2018 at her home.

A rosary is also scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Andrea was born May 23, 1957 in Municipio San Bernardo, Durango, Mexico; the daughter of Bernardino Pizarro and Norberta Arredondo.

She came to Artesia in 1974 from Mexico.

She worked in housekeeping for Mack Energy before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Santa Lucia church choir, enjoyed plants, keeping fish, traveling, singing and time with her kids and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her mother Norberta Arredondo of Sardinas, Dgo., Mexio; sons Armando Nayares of Artesia, and Octavio Nayares of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughters Cecilia Nayares of Artesia, and Melissa Nayares of Artesia; brothers Joaquin Pizarro, Alvaro Pizarro, Antonino Pizarro, Lucio Pizarro, and Lorenzo Pizarro; sisters Natividad Luevano, Bernardina Gutierrez, Ascencion Santiago, and Teresa Lopez; grandchildren Joshua, Khloe, Ayled, and Abraham.
