Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday.

Wanda was born October 22, 1935 in Dublin TX to Rudy Massingale and Mallie Jones Massingale.

She was married to C.E. LaRue on December 18, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2019.

Wanda loved God with all her heart and serving him was her first priority. She

served in many capacities in the church, from Sunday School Teacher to Janitor.

She loved taking the teen girls on outings to Sitting Bulls Falls, and doing life with

them. She had a heart for soul winning that even dementia could not take away.

She had a strong relationship with God. Even in the worst days,

she knew He loved her and life was better because she accepted him in her life.

Wanda’s second priority was her husband, CE LaRue. They were married after only knowing each other for a month and dating two weeks. They would have been married 69 years on December 18 2019. She still wanted to be where he was and

loved him very much. Their children were next in her life, and played a very

important role. She was a stay at home mom that sewed her children’s

clothes when they were young, taught them how to be strong, and how to love big.

She cared for all of her children differently but deeply. She was a great mom.

Wanda’s hobbies were sewing, needle point, quilting, and cooking. She loved spending

time with her family and spoiling the grandkids. She was a member of the Eastern

Star. She was a girl scout leader and enjoyed sharing her time with them. She was a great role model and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Laura Mae Ogden.

Survivors include a son Eddie LaRue wife Becky of Artesia; daughters Charlotte Brewer husband Mick, of Loving, N.M., Cindy Johnson of Arlington, Texas, Rhonda Mojica of Garland, Texas, and Melissa LaRue-Acosta wife Vikki, of Jacksonville, N. Carolina; a brother George Massingale of Amsterdam, Holland; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
