Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, at the Eddy County Fairgrounds for Tommy Lynn Jones of Artesia, New Mexico.

Tommy, 63, passed away August 4, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Joel Bell will officiate the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Tommy was born December 10, 1955 in Artesia, to Dolph Jones and Dora Ann (Bunce) Jones. He was a life long resident of Eddy County.

He married Debbie Jackson on November 24, 1978 in Hope, N.M.

He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Debbie of the home. Daughter Stephanie and grandchildren Konner and Haylei of Carlsad, NM. Son Justin of Las Cruces, NM. Parents Dolph and Ann of Artesia, NM. Brothers Clyde of Artesia, NM and Cory of Cape Coral, FL. And also 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

Tommy was involved with the Hope, Atoka and Cottonwood volunteer fire departments over the years. He was a member of the Eddy County Fairboard, as well as lending a helping hand during the Eddy County Fair for numerous years.

He worked for the Artesia Public School system for many years. He was the "Keeper of the Bulldog Bowl".

He was a man who wore many hats and could always put a smile on anyones face and brought laughs to all those who he encountered.

He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
