Marvin Philpott

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2019 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Marvin Eugene Philpott of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Philpott, 95, died June 11, 2019 in Artesia.

Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. til 8:00 p.m.

Marvin was born June 4, 1924 in Bernice OK; the son of Benjamin Philpott and Janie Paker Philpott.

He was a pumper for Stanley, Pan American and BP. He was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God and loved working on Model A cars and fishing.

Survivors include his daughter Seleta Hooten of Carlsbad, NM; brother Buck Philpott of Tyler, TX; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
