Mrs. Price, 86, died peacefully on October 23, 2019 surrounded by her family at Casa Maria Health Care Center in Roswell, where she had lived for the last three years. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Vickie Brisco, her son Mark Briscoe, her granddaughter Summer Briscoe and Nick Lucero and her great grandchildren Audrey Perez and Liam Lucero.
Linda was born April 9, 1933 in Graham, Texas, the daughter of Richard Boyle and Marguerite Carter Boyle. She lived in Graham, Texas until the age of eleven and then moved to Artesia, NM with her mother and step-father, Glenn Collard. After graduating from Artesia High School Linda moved to Denver, Colorado to attend nursing school. She returned to Artesia and worked for over twenty years in Dr. Owen Taylor's medical office.
Linda found joy in spending time with her granddaughter and great grandchildren. She was an avid NASCAR follower, enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and loved singing along with the Gospel Showcase on PBS. She looked forward to every spring when her great granddaughter would plant her favorite red and pink petunias for her to enjoy on her patio. She loved Jesus Christ and found joy in knowing one day she would dance on the streets of gold. Linda never passed up the opportunity to remind everyone that she once was an Artesia Bulldog Cheerleader.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Collard and Glenn Collard.
We would like to thank the staff at Casa Maria, especially the nurses who willingly shared their personal cell phone numbers so that we could check on Linda 24/7 and for their caring, comfort and compassion, she always thought of them as part of her family. We would also like to thank Kindred Hospice.
Flowers are welcome, memorial contributions can be made to Paws and Claws in Artesia, NM.
