Bernard Griffitts

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, September 27, at Terpening & Son Mortuary Chapel for Bernard W. Griffitts of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Griffitts, 60, died September 22, 2019 at his home.

Phillip Grassie will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son.

Bernard was born July 8, 1959 in Douglas Wyoming, the son of Daniel Griffitts and Bonnie (Linneman) Griffitts.

He is survived by his father, Daniel Griffitts; step-mother Linda Griffitts; sisters Denise and spouse Troy Green, Ruth and spouse Nick Baker; brothers Gary Griffitts and Keith and Moe Griffitts; aunts Clara Tomesek and Lavina and spouse Bill Jackson; uncles Calvin and spouse Sharon Griffitts and George Brown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Griffitts and aunt Dorie Brown.

Bernie enjoyed his motor cycle and riding with Terry Little and bird hunting and fishing with Mark Griewahn. He also enjoyed fishing with his father. He had a special friendship with his minister Phillip Grassie..

He was baptized April 11, 2017 in Gallina,, New Mexico at Gallina Christian Faith Fellowship Church and enjoyed going to church with his sister and brother in law Denise and Troy.

Bernie has suffered with Diabetes for many years. God called him home to end his suffering. Now he is with his Mom in Heaven.
