Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, at Woodbine Cemetery for Celestina Heredia of Artesia. Pallbearers will be Jose Ortega, Manuel Oaxaca, Jose Lopez, Roberto Armendariz, Luis Chavez and Fabian Chavez.

Mrs. Heredia, 85, died January 25, 2019 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 12:00 p.m. tp 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. At 3:00 p.m. there will be a Prayer Service in the Mortuary Chapel.

Celestina was born November 25, 1933 in Barrio de Montoya, Mexico to Pedro Armendariz and Magdalena (Lara) Armendariz. On November 4, 1967 she married Jesus Heredia. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2005.

She loved spending time with her family, reading the Bible, going out to eat, shopping, animals and being at the ranch.

Survivors include her daughter Elvira Ortega of Artesia, NM; brother Emilio Armendariz of Andrews, TX; grandchildren Liliana Chavez, Sonia Chavez, Sandra Chavez, Barbarita Chavez, Fabian Chavez and Sabastian Chavez all of Artesia.
