Judy K. Payne, age 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2018 in El Paso, TX. Judy was born January 31, 1947 in Artesia, NM to Paul and Helen Morris. She was the youngest of five children. She married her soul mate Johnny Payne on May 15, 1965. Judy is celebrating in Heaven, where she joined her parents and her brother Paul.

Judy was loved and adored by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Johnny; three children, Melanie (Thomas) Bozada, Paul (Norma) Payne, Melinda (Ronnie) Garrison; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte (John) Mathis, Paula (Eddie) Roberts, one brother, Robert (Sallie) Morris; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judy lived life to its fullest. Her family and friends were everything. She never missed an opportunity to have them over for holidays of every kind. Her smile, clever sense of humor, and quick wit will be missed. She was an accomplished artist creating masterpieces with oils, watercolors, and ceramics. She was an excellent cook and a square-dancing queen. Later in life, she had quite a reputation with on-line video games.

My condolences to the family of Judy. My family lived next door to her parents for many years. My memory of her consists of smiling. She always had a smile and was quick witted as well. Praying for peace for you all. Sorry I can’t attend I’m dealing with my dad in east Texas at this time. Hugs!
