Casey C. Haldeman

Casey Haldeman, 27, found peace on August 13, 2018. He entered this world on December 28, 1990 in Carlsbad, NM, born to Victor ("Charles") and Kandy Haldeman. He is survived by his mother Kandy Haldeman; father Charles Haldeman; aunt Wendy Lee and the cousins who gave him such joy: Teagan Jones of Lubbock, Tx; Kailee Kocks, (husband Anthony) of Midland, Tx), and Amber Scott (husband Brandon) of Bellavista, Arkansas, and their three boys, as well as relatives and friends who loved him, and by his buddy, dog Lucky. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Victor and Dorothy Haldeman, and Robert Lee and Jeanette Lee, and his Uncle Chris Rager.

Casey's sharp mind allowed him to teach himself many skills, like building and repairing computers and fine tuning them to do exactly what he needed, reloading shells, cooking challenging and delicious dishes, fishing, and gardening and grafting trees and plants. When he found what he wanted to do, he researched it and expected complete success. That focus on any project meant nothing got in his way. Casey also had a wickedly funny sense of humor, and he could rattle off lines from any episode of Family Guy. He loved good satire and it's subtlies. Anime and the study of Japanese culture was like oxygen for him, too; he so wanted to get to Japan. We will remember Casey and his hopes and dreams for a better future.

"How I wish, how I wish you were here/We're just two lost souls living in a fish bowl/ Year after year/Running over the same old ground/What have we found/The same old fear/Wish you were here." (Wish you Were Here; David Gilmour and Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, 1975)

No formal memorial is planned at this time.

Instead of flowers, please consider donating to the Brain Research Foundation.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
