Jack was known as a great man involved in many areas of our community. He was an active member at Trinity Temple involved in many ministries in the church including Saturday morning men's prayer meeting, Monday night prayer meetings, teaching Sunday school, and divorce care. He also volunteered at numerous charities: Paws and Claws, food pantries, soup kitchens, Mission Artesia, and Trinity Temple Love Feast. He had been active member of the Gideon's international, where he loved to share God's word with all he encountered. Jack was also Master Mason. He was a volunteer member of Boy Scouts of America, where he received one to the highest honors; the Silver Beaver.

Jack was a well-respected role model and leader of Artesia’s community. His small business guided residents’ financial future, while furthering the growth of the city. His truly compassionate heart uplifted numerous lost souls to God by fulfilling their many needs. Jack’s legacy will live on through all the lives he touched, and will be remembered for the many seeds he planted as those continue to grow and bloom.

Jack is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Jimmy Brannan, Troy Brannan, and his grandson Josh Rolan.

Jack is survived by his wife Barbra Brannan of the family home, Jack’s children J.D. Brannan and wife Wilma, Tracy Brannan and wife Tricia, Phidalia Rolan and husband Larry, Holly Shaughnessy and husband Kevin, and grandchildren: Stephen Yandell, Brandi Mckinney, Chad Brannan, Randy Brannan, Caleb Rolan, Chayimel Herrera, Jackson Shaughnessey, Ryan Shaughnessey James Hooten, Misty Walden. Jack also had many great grandchildren. He has two surviving siblings brother Jerry Brannan, and sister Pat Turk. He also leaves behind his best friends Von and Gloria Burba of 64 years.

All of us will continue with his legacy of love, compassion ... “Man, we have some big shoes to fill.”

The family asks that instead of flowers that you donate in his name to the Gideon's International or Paws and Claws of Artesia New Mexico.
