A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, at the Artesia Fairgrounds building, for Catalina Corona Juarez of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Juarez, 92, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at her home in Artesia.
Ricardo Leaton will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Catalina was born on March 22, 1925 in Artesia; the daughter of Augustine Corona Sr. and Alvina Sosa Corona.
On July 21, 1946 she was married to Daniel Chavez Juarez in Artesia. She was a lifelong resident.
She was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah's Witness.
She was preceded death by her parents and a sister Vera Gonzalez.
Survivors include her husband Daniel Juarez of Artesia; sons Manuel Daniel Juarez and David R. Juarez; daughter Kathy Caraveo; a brother Augustine Corona and a sister Marisela Garcia Gorona; 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
